There are several types of simulation: static or dynamic, stochastic or deterministic, discrete events, continuous or hybrid.
Dynamic simulation is not animation and should only be used when static analytical approaches are no longer sufficient.

Why WITNESS ?

One of our founders, Bruno Strady, developed his expertise in WITNESS simulation software at Jacobs Serete where he started his career in the 90s. When creating NS Conseil, we conducted a comparative study of simulation software on the market (WITNESS, FLEXSIM, ANYLOGIC, PLANT and SIMIO), all capable of modeling a wide spectrum of complex issues, all sectors combined. This study confirmed that WITNESS was the tool that NS Conseil wanted to use. Indeed, it is the most generalized and its Simba offer (self-executing model) is the only one on the market allowing you to be autonomous in operating the model.

The graphics of the WITNESS simulation software may seem a little simple but they are fast and efficient. The dynamic color changes associated with the states of the objects allow you to quickly see the different levels of fluidity of the line.

The graphics are very useful for understanding, explaining and validating the model but they do not need to be very elaborate. 3D or detailed 2D takes a lot of time and increases deadlines and prices. In the research phase with the launch of numerous scenarios, the graphics are no longer useful because we directly compare the KPIs.

Everything remains a matter of balancing the objective, the level of detail, the deadline and the cost.
